Services and Pricing at Unsinkable Dogs
Due to warm weather last fall and really good insulation in the building, our utility bills have been MUCH lower than expected. We’d like to share our good fortune with you this month by cutting prices at least through the end of January! Prices are reduced $10 per hour on all service types. If you are a current package holder, we’ll share this price reduction with you by extending your existing 5-hour package by half an hour, 10-hour package by an hour.
Unsinkable Dogs is delighted to offer you and your dog a wide variety of swimming experiences. Prices range from $21.25 for a half-hour self-swim (with special package pricing) to $75 for a single hour of advanced services.
About our packages. Our package prices give you a discount on the single-session hourly rate, based on how many hours you purchase. You receive a 5% discount for purchasing a 5-hour package, a 10% discount on a 10-hour package, and a 15% discount on a 15-hour or larger package. Your package may be used in any combination of 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions. For people swimming multiple dogs per session, there will be a $5 charge for each dog after the first two to cover towels, filter load, laundry, etc.
Self-Swimming
(after demonstrated safe pool and operational skills)
Self-Swim is available for clients who have demonstrated their ability to manage their dogs successfully and safely in and around the pool. A safety introduction and competency assessment is required for new clients and/or new dogs desiring Self-Swim. The assessment and instruction process requires a minimum of one session at the assisted swim rate of $65.00 per hour. Sometimes helping your dog get comfortable in the water is made much easier using TTouch, Reiki, or Massage. If these are used, the rate for your assessment and instruction sessions may be charged at the Full-Service Price. Self-Swim clients are required to skim the pool surface for hair and debris after their swim and immediately report any pool contamination. Like all other Unsinkable Dogs activities, Self-Swim must be pre-scheduled to ensure the pool is available for use. Please note, Unsinkable Dogs reserves the right to refuse Self-Swim privileges to any client for any reason.

Pre-Paid Packages
5-hour package = $237.50 or $23.75 per half hour ( 5% discount)
10-hour package = $450.00 or $22.50 per half hour (10% discount)

Assisted Swimming
During Assisted Swimming, an Unsinkable Dogs staff member will help direct your dog’s activity in the pool. This includes controlling the dog’s entry into and exit from the pool to ensure your dog’s safety. Our staff member may or may not be in the water, depending on your dog’s experience level and the desired swimming routine.
Rates for Assisted Swimming:
30-minute session: $32.50
45-minute session: $48.75
60-minute session: $65.00
Pre-Paid Packages

10-hour package = $585.00 or $29.25 per half hour (10% discount)

Assisted Injury Recovery Swimming
Assisted injury recovery is for dogs who have been injured or ill and have veterinary approval to swim as part of their recovery. An Unsinkable Dogs staff member will work with the owner to determine appropriate activity types and levels based on recovery status and vet recommendations. We will direct the dog’s swimming in terms of direction and intensity to encourage balanced, symmetrical movement and appropriate use of the affected body parts.
Water TTouch
TTouch (pronounced Tee-Touch) is a training and wellness technique developed to help animals and people achieve physical, mental, and emotional balance. TTouch has three major components: the touches themselves, awareness aids (wraps used to focus the body’s attention on a particular aspect of itself), and groundwork. Aquatic TTouch focuses on use of the touches and awareness aids while the dog is stationary or moving. For more information on TTouch, please go to the main Tellington Training Method website. TTouch is very useful for arthritic or aging dogs.
Water Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) was developed in Japan as a stress reduction and relaxation technique. The name is derived from 2 words, Rei (God’s Wisdom or The Higher Power) and Ki (life force energy), thus meaning spiritually guided life energy. Physical or emotional problems may develop when the flow of that energy is low or blocked. Reiki is a complementary healing modality that can be used to restore balance and improve energy flow for healing in humans and animals. This can be a very powerful tool, especially when combined with the benefits of swimming in warm water.
